Intolerant Liberals

October 30, 2008

It seems to me that Liberals, who are supposedly all about acceptance, are the least accepting people when it comes to opposition to their own views.  Studying on a liberal arts campus, I find myself in the extremely small minority of Conservatives.  However, when asked about my political views, I’m not about to remain quiet.  The first time, one of my Liberal friends walked away.  The second time, another friend blew cigarette smoke in my face (to which I replied with, “I thought Liberals didn’t want to offend anyone!”).  Most recently, two of my friends have just been really snarky.  I find myself being far more tolerant than all of them combined.  How pathetic.

These stories have been around for a short time now, but I still felt the need to post this short video clip (granted, it’s short, and I’m sure he somehow backed it up and made creating a second National Guard seem perfectly reasonable and legitimate, especially since it seems a lot of people *liberals* are already against the military spending).

And there’s even an Obama Youth video!! Sieg Hiel!

Bush urged to award denied Medal of Honor

Regardless of whether or not Peralta had been shot by friendly fire or intentionally grabbed the grenade and absorbed the blast, he still saved the lives of whatever Marines were in the vicinity, and deserves the Medal of Honor for doing so.  I find it ridiculous that they have to debate this.

Online, I’ve been reading quite a few notes and bulletins and blog posts (from junior/senior high students) encouraging all kids to stay home from school on September 11th.  Their justification is that school is cancelled to commemorate past presidents and other deceased figures in history, and so why should schools be open on the anniversary of the latest national tragedy — which most can remember?

While the idea may be admirable and perhaps a bit romantic, I feel that pausing the education process to mourn the loss of thousands of Americans does nothing but remind the enemy that they’ve succeeded in crippling us.  Families should mourn their losses privately, but I don’t believe that we should broadcast the footage nationally, or in any other way further cause them grief.

I have frequently been told that well-educated people are more likely to vote liberally.  However, no one has ever told me where on the left wing these educated people fall.  Certainly they can’t be on the far left, for their education would appeal to their logic and reason — they would eventually realize that the extreme pole of anything is illogical.  In that case, wouldn’t intellectuals and the like comprise the moderate middle of the spectrum, as opposed to the far left?

A True Republican

September 2, 2008

Michael Savage, a true republican and brilliant man.

As an alternative to the liberal bias that pervades and pollutes the nightly news, I would like to make known an alternative:  The Savage Nation.  The Savage Nation is a daily radio show featuring Michael Savage and his view of America and its problems.  Now more than ever, it is important for true republicans to pay attention to news sources that report what is truly happening in the United States, for, as seen in the John Edwards fiasco, the liberals at CNN, NBC, and the rest of the shameful list are not keen to report on the shortfalls of their own.  Savage’s show has been made available on the internet at http://michaelsavage.wnd.com/.  Listen up!!
